Highly recommended for framing. Eases burden on wrist over a heavier framing type hammer. Avoid pulling too many nail though. I have replaced the handle 2 times since purchase. $ stars since handles are fragile.

These are much easier on the arm than steel hammers, though it is still heaver than a titanium/wood one. The face doesnt always stay in the exact same spot, it can rotate a bit making the nailsetter not work quite as well. My boss has had one for 5 years and it is already almost worn out, these things do not last forever.

Ok hammer in general : Stiletto Tools, Inc. TI14MC Titan 14-OunceTitanium Framing Hammer With Curved Handle

I got the hammer some time ago and notion it was awsome at first, until I tried to use it at work. I am rough framer, and use my hammer about a hundred times a day. This hammer is cool nailing nails But what they don't tell you is that you're not allowed to pull nails with it. I didn't know that until I pulled the third or fourth nail and the head of the hammer fell off. If you like the feel of a lightweight titanium hammer, and you are going to use it, I recommend that you go with the Death stick. It weighs the same and the deal with doesn't break.

I've been a pro carpenter for more than 20 years. I have had scads of hammers over those years from estwing (ouch my elbow) to 32 oz. Vaugns to all sorts of other designs. Since i have gotten the tibone, there will never be someone else hammer for me. I am ordering someone else one today for some one on my crew and that will make three in our company.
