There are many debates on hammers. Titanium vs Steel. Wood cope vs synthetic handle. Etc. My dream hammer would be this same hammer but in 18oz titanium. Until then this will remain the reigning champ. I am sketched out by pulling nails with the side of the head having had a rough history with pulling nails with wood handles. Also the twenty dollar cope change is also a downer. Switched to this hammer from a 22oz estwing that started "pinging" after it wore out. If you have never had this happen with an Estwing, it's the most annoying thing in the world. definite the Dalluge will never ping and hits harder than my 22oz with less effort. Some getting used to is in order if your accustomed to swinging a heavier hammer. But best of all its made in Usa
